Evan, a curious fifth-grade student, passes by the library and borrows two books. These books lead him to discover a secret about the town’s history. He finds out that many years ago, Martinville had a big public library that burned down mysteriously. Many people believe the fire was just an accident. However, when Evan asks his father about the books, he responds strangely and refuses to talk. As Evan, along with his best friend Rafe, digs deeper, they find Al, a ghost librarian with secrets of her own.
